Games are played in the North Areas Junior Hockey Competition on Friday nights (U14s, U16s and U18s) and Saturday mornings (U12s, U10s) at various turf fields including Ryde, Pennant Hills (Pennant Hills Park), Gordon (Kuring-gai High School), Cintra Concord and Sydney Olympic Park Hockey Centre.
We cater for boys and girls from 6 years of age. Teams are graded by age and competition runs from April to September for Under 10s to Under 18s. There is also an Under 8s Minkey competition held in Term 2. There are usually no games in school holidays.
Wenty is also running FREE "Come and Try" hockey sessions every Monday night starting on 2 February 2026, 6pm to 7pm at Sydney Olympic Park Hockey Centre for three weeks. Email us at info@wentyhockey.org.au for more information.
Fees for the season will include a registration fee - made up of a HAUS fee, HNSW fee, NWSHA association fee and a Wenty Club Admin fee. There will be a Junior turf competition fee this year which will be confirmed once we receive details of the North Area Junior fees.To pay the registration fee click here - Join Now.
You will also be given a Wenty shirt and socks at no cost. We can also lend you a hockey stick for the season if you're new to the sport and want to see if your child likes it first before spending alot of money. So the only uniform/equipment you really need to purchase is a black skirt or black shorts and shin pads. However we also have hockey stick packs - hockey stick, hockey bag and hockey ball for $50.
